The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) Regional Citizens Advisory Board (RCAB) will hold its first meeting on Thursday, April 8 at 9:30 a.m. in the Board Room at the RTA headquarters, 175 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago.
The Advisory Board is the latest initiative by the RTA to create a group that is made up of community members who reflect the riders on the region’s transit system. Members of the Advisory Board will meet quarterly and have been tasked with advising the agency on its policies and programs and periodically reporting to the RTA Board.
“Creating this advisory board helps bring public transit one step closer to its users and the communities it serves,” said Steve Schlickman, RTA Executive Director. “We look forward to having greater citizen input in how our regional transit system can work better.”
