RTA Responds to Metra Financial Allegations |

The RTA takes seriously the Metra Board’s investigation of alleged financial irregularities. We are in communication with Metra and monitoring the situation. We are also in communication with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regarding federal funds expenditures. Depending on the outcome of the Metra investigation and the FTA review, the RTA will determine if additional action by our agency is warranted. The RTA currently has in place a project management oversight process that includes annual audits of capital grants that includes FTA, RTA and state grants.
